Don’t make these 5 Pinterest marketing mistakes!
1. Using the Follow-Unfollow Strategy
Randomly following and unfollowing 10+ accounts daily only to increase your Pinterest followers is by far the worst way to grow on Pinterest. Pinterest cares more about clicks, repins, and shares than follower count.
2. Not Being Consistent
I got to 1 Million monthly views on Pinterest by being consistent for a year. You can’t schedule pins for a few days and forget about it. Put something on the platforms almost every day.
3. Not Creating Relevant Boards
Publish the Pinterest pin to a board that’s relevant to that pin. If you create a Pin titled “9 Online Part-Time Job Ideas,” create a Pinterest board named “Part-Time Jobs” and publish the Pin on that board.
4. Re-Pinning Old Content Frequently
If you publish the same pin repeatedly, Pinterest will catch on and dampen your organic growth. Try pinning those old pins once every 4 months but don’t overdo it.
5. Not Using Keyword Rich Titles and Descriptions
Pinterest like Google works on Search engine, so add keywords in your titles and descriptions to make it discoverable but don’t keyword stuff them.
